Lecturer

Skip Eno has been Director of Forensics and Debate Coach since 1981. His debate background is diverse. He debated in high school, in Colorado, Missouri and Wyoming, and he debated at the University of North Dakota in the 60's.

He is constantly watching and learning from his debaters, as well as those from schools all over the country. He sees debate as more than a technical activity, and he seeks new approaches to all phases of debate. Skip has coached with solid success from his first year on the scene. He has served as CEDA's South-Central Regional Director several times, though he definitely prefers coaching, researching and listening to debate rounds. He was named Coach of the Year by the Southern Speech Association and All Star Coach by the CEDA South-Central Region in 1996. Eno has been included in "Who's Who Among College Educators," and he received UTSA's Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1999.

Skip loves to write poetry and fiction. His poems have appeared in numerous journals and he is currently working on a novel. He has been involved in photography, film and television, pursuits he looks forward to picking up again in the coming “golden” years. He is also an avid hiker, spending most of his summers at his family cabin in Colorado.
