The Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) San Antonio Donates $8000 to UTSA to benefit the Department of Communication SMPS Scholarship Fund
The Second Annual SMPS Celebrity Putting After Dark fundraising event, was held in March to benefit the Department of Communication SMPS Scholarship. The San Antonio SMPS chapter is a strong supporter of aspiring marketers and is dedicated to promoting higher education of students in the fields of communication, marketing, public relations and business development. The fundraising event generated $8000 for the SMPS Striving for Excellence in Communication Scholarship at UTSA.
During Comm Week 2012, the title sponsor for the SMPS fundraiser, Jamail & Smith Construction alongside SMPS representatives, presented Paul LeBlanc, Chair of the Department of Communication a giant check for $8,000. Members of the SMPS student chapter at UTSA will have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship this fall.
The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) is a community of marketing and business development professionals working within the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. SMPS offers members professional development, leadership opportunities, and marketing resources to advance their careers.
