Independent Study

As taken from the UTSA Undergraduate Catalog: This course is designed to provide a student with an opportunity to investigate a topic more fully through " . . . independent reading, research, discussion, and writing under the direction of a faculty member. Permission in writing (form available) of the instructor, the student's advisor, the Department Chair, and the Dean of the College of Liberal and Fine Arts" is required to enroll. Independent study will be granted under very limited circumstances for advanced students to work on new projects which may be used for an honor's thesis or report, and may not be a revision or reworking of a previous project.
