The CFC is celebrating its fifth birthday by hosting its second pre-convention conference on Friday, November 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Conference Room 13/14, Marriott Rivercenter Hotel. This conference is designed to provide an opportunity for those currently involved in Family Communication research or teaching to share innovative ideas and applications, as well as to introduce others to the exciting possibilities for research and teaching in Family Communication (see details below). All participants are asked to bring copies of course syllabi for distribution, if available.
To preregister for the preconvention conference, use the registration form in the August issue of Spectra. The $35.00 fee includes lunch and coffee breaks. For additional information, contact John Monsma. School of Communication, Northern Arizona University, (520) 523-2512 or "Monsma@NAUVAX.UCC.NAU.EDU".
The CFC is also sponsoring 14 panels this year during the regularly scheduled convention. Information on the panels slated for the convention are listed on pages 2-3 of the newsletter. The programs promise to be very informative, inspiring, and thought-provoking.
