The Department of Earth and Environmental Science offers coursework leading to the Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Environmental Science, and Multidisciplinary Sciences, the Master of Science degree in Geology, and Environmental Science, and a Geographic Information Science Certification.
Areas of study may include for following emphasis: Ecology and Environmental Conservation, Environmental Quality and Protection, Environmental Spatial Analysis, Environmental Management, Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, Mineralogy, Paleontology, Structural Geology, and Water Resources.
The Department shares responsibilities with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, in providing classes, research and facilities for the Ph.D. degree in Environmental Science and Engineering, which is housed under the Institute for Research in Water and Environmental Resources.
